SHIFT Communications Cooks Up Partnership with Char-Broil

SHIFT Communication has added Char-Broil to its client roster. Char-Broil, one of the world’s oldest and most respected outdoor cooking companies, manufactures a complete line of gas, charcoal and electric grills, as well as smokers, roasters, and grilling accessories.

SHIFT has been tapped to help solidify Char-Broil’s position in the industry and to help launch a new line of products. The agency will provide public relations support for the launch, including media and influencer relations, event support and analytics.

LG Electronics Launches New LG Studio Line of Premium Kitchen Appliances

LG Electronics USA today announced the nationwide retail availability of the latest additions to its LG Studio premium kitchen appliance suite.

The new Nate Berkus-inspired line of LG Studio appliances includes a counter-depth refrigerator, gas and electric slide-in ranges and an over-the-range microwave, all featuring a distinctive style palette aimed to complement any high-end kitchen design.

Renowned interior designer and LG Studio Artistic Advisor Nate Berkus advised on the design of the kitchen appliances, ensuring they embody a pro-style, sophisticated design. Berkus’ influence can be felt throughout the 2015 LG Studio line-up and is exhibited in the appliances’ premium, flat door design; beautiful and functional LED lighting; pro-style metal knobs, handles and control panels; and a premium, horizontally-brushed stainless steel finish.

Newell Rubbermaid Announces Leadership Team Change

Effective January 1, 2016, Joe Arcuri, currently President, Home Solutions, for Newell Rubbermaid, will take on the newly created role of Chief Commercial Officer, and Richard Davies, currently Chief Marketing and Insights Officer, will expand his responsibilities to assume the role of Chief Development Officer.  Both Arcuri and Davies will report to Newell Rubbermaid President and Chief Executive Officer Michael Polk.

Concurrent with these changes, Chief Operating Officer Bill Burke has announced his intention to pursue leadership opportunities outside the company, and Chief Development Officer Mark Tarchetti has announced his desire to pursue alternative interests. Both leaders will continue in their current roles through the end of 2015.  Burke will transition out of the company in the first half of 2016.

As Chief Commercial Officer, Arcuri will leverage three decades of consumer products experience to sustain the company’s building growth momentum, drive the deployment of the portfolio into new geographies, and continue to strengthen and develop the company’s margins.  He will be responsible for the global commercial operations of the company and the Segment Presidents, Chief Customer Development Officer, and e-commerce lead will report to him.  Arcuri most recently served as President of the Home Solutions Segment and brings nearly 30 years of global product development, marketing, and general management leadership experience from his previous roles at Procter & Gamble.

As Chief Development Officer, Davies will be responsible for consumer and shopper insights, brand-building and marketing, innovation development and delivery and ensuring superior design and product experience for Newell Rubbermaid’s consumers. Davies joined Newell Rubbermaid in late 2012 as Chief Marketing and Insights Officer.  With a wealth of global experience developed over thirty years, Davies has a proven track record of creating global brands, building great advertising and marketing, and delivering breakthrough innovations to the consumer for Newell Rubbermaid and Unilever.
