Williams Sonoma Launches TUCCI by GreenPan

Williams Sonoma, a portfolio brand of Williams-Sonoma, Inc., the world’s largest digital-first, design-led and sustainable home retailer, has launched an exclusive cookware collection with GreenPan and Stanley Tucci. The TUCCI By GreenPan Cookware Collection celebrates Italian craftsmanship, utilizes GreenPan’s most advanced ceramic nonstick coating and will be sold exclusively at Williams Sonoma.

Food fanatic and cookbook author Tucci was inspired by his Italian-American family and the time spent together in the kitchen when creating his new cookware collection. Tucci teamed up with GreenPan to create a high-performing cookware that embraces a modern design intended to perfectly prepare a dish but also stylish enough to be served on the table.

“This cookware combines a contemporary sensibility with today’s technology, so it’s both beautiful and highly functional,” said Tucci.

“We are passionate about bringing our customers best-in-class products, and it’s incredibly exciting when we get to do that in partnership with someone they love like Stanley and a brand they are loyal to like GreenPan,” said Williams Sonoma President Felix Carbullido.

Each piece of the TUCCI By GreenPan Collection is handcrafted in Italy to be induction-compatible, has a scratch-resistant exterior, and has customized handles that ensure comfort and control. The collection’s interior is made of ultra-durable ceramic nonstick interiors. The ceramic nonstick pieces are crafted of hard-anodized aluminum with ultra-durable ceramic nonstick interiors, while the stainless-steel pieces are crafted of three-ply stainless steel.

“Williams Sonoma is such an important retail partner for us, and we are thrilled to collaborate with them on this incredible launch. The partnership between GreenPan, Stanley Tucci, and Williams Sonoma is rooted in passion for cooking and commitment to innovation,” said Chief Executive Officer of GreenPan USA, Jacob Maurer.

New Teorema Cookware Showcases High Design and Excellent Performance

Italian cookware manufacturer TVS S.P.A. introduces Teorema, a dazzling line of pots and pans designed by Michael Graves Design, one of the world’s most innovative design brands, at the International Home + Housewares Show.

The 13-year-old “Kitchen Twins,” Emily and Lyla Allen, will use the cookware in preparing family-style Italian dishes at the show on Sunday, March 19 from 12 noon to 3 p.m. in the TVS booth. Having grown up around the natural food business in an entrepreneurial household, the Kitchen Twins have been blogging about healthy eating and cooking since they were nine years old. Beyond the blog, they appear in national media, teach cooking classes, and serve as spokespeople for global brands like Teorema cookware.

The Teorema line, which can be used on all types of stovetops and in the oven, feature eye-catching curves, smart materials and distinctive design to enrich the cooking experience from beginning to end. The high-gauge aluminum material guarantees that heat will be distributed evenly and the temperature will remain stable. Three layers of TopTek Pro, TVS’ quality non-stick coating, provide excellent resistance to scratching and abrasion, as well as better cooking results and easy clean-up.

A team of MGD designers focused from the outset on the distinguishing features of each piece of Teorema cookware, from the body to the handles and lids. “The result is a design where each piece is so much more than just the sum of its parts,” says Donald Strum, Principal, Product Design, of Michael Graves Design.

The special profile of the Teorema cookware handles forms a curve that can naturally be used as a spoon rest during cooking, preventing food residue from meeting the cooking surface or with countertops. Handles are comfortable, secure and responsive in the hand with or without an oven mitt or potholder. Glass lids make it easy to see the cooking process and are simple to clean. The quality connection between the body of each piece and its handle offers maximum strength and durability.

“Because of the special attention paid to every detail, Teorema cookware helps improve the cooking process, offering cooks at every level an even better kitchen experience,” Bertozzini said.

This brand new line of cookware will be available in the summer of 2017, ranging in price from $74 to $150.

Red Dot, iF Awards for Breville Cookware

Expertly engineered, premium quality Breville® Thermal Pro™ Cookware – introduced earlier this year by Meyer Corporation, U.S. – is a winner of both the distinguished iF Design Award and the prestigious Red Dot Design Award for 2016.

For more than 60 years, the iF Design Award has been recognized worldwide for identifying products with design excellence, and its logo is internationally acknowledged as a seal of quality and outstanding design. Fifty-eight jurists selected newly launched Breville Thermal Pro Cookware for this coveted award for both its performance and design. The Red Dot Design Award’s group of 41 leading designers, journalists, specialists, and design professors also selected Breville Thermal Pro Cookware for design excellence, following a review of submissions from over 57 nations.

Breville Thermal Pro Cookware is offered in two collections: Breville Thermal Pro Clad Cookware and Breville Thermal Pro Hard Anodized Cookware. Stylishly designed with the serious cook in mind, both collections feature a unique, multi-layered and beautifully contoured base that conducts, controls and retains heat from base to walls for even cooking, and provides excellent temperature stability and warping resistance when adding cold ingredients. The cookware is suitable for all cooking surfaces, including induction.

The collections also feature an innovative, curved interior shape that facilitates easy whisking and stirring, and prevents food from becoming lodged or trapped in crevices. The highly polished cast stainless steel handles are dual-riveted for enhanced durability, and contoured for both comfort and sophisticated styling.

Breville Thermal Pro Clad Cookware is meticulously crafted with multi-layered construction, comprised of a non-reactive stainless steel interior and mirror-polished stainless steel exterior, permanently bonded to a solid aluminum core that extends up the sides of each piece in the line. Saucepans, sauciers, and stockpots feature laser-etched volume markings in both metric and imperial units on the pan interiors, and deep-seated, mirror-polished stainless steel lids. The cookware is dishwasher safe and oven or broiler safe to 500 degrees Fahrenheit.

The Breville Thermal Pro Hard Anodized Cookware collection is crafted in heavy-duty hard-anodized aluminum with nonstick inside and out. The triple-layer nonstick coating is metal utensil safe and delivers long-lasting effortless release. Carefully considered features include flat, nonstick-coated rivets for easy cleaning. The cookware is dishwasher safe and oven or broiler safe to 500 degrees Fahrenheit.

Available in 10-piece sets and a wide range of open stock items, Breville Thermal Pro Cookware is currently available at Bed Bath and Beyond and Dillard’s, and is launching in additional gourmet stores this fall.

ANYWARE Ceramic/Aluminum Cookware Goes from Campfire to Cookstove

By Lorrie Baumann

ANYWARE™ is a new line of non-stick cast aluminum cookware that’s designed to go from the outdoor grill to the stove indoors and back again. It delivers quality cooking performance along with easy cleanup – even the soot from a campfire will wipe right off.

ANYWARE is made by Little Griddle, a company historically known for cookware designed only for outdoor use. “We knew that we needed a product that could go indoors,” says Jon Stein, the company’s President. At the same time, the company knew that if they decided to produce a line of cookware for indoor use, it still had to perform just as well in the outdoors – the Little Griddle brand and its outdoor-oriented customer base depended on it.

Two years of development work went into the line, which is made from a unique combination of cast aluminum coated inside and outside with a PTFE-free nonstick ceramic that’s compatible with high heat. The pans will go from grill top to stove top, in the oven or over the campfire or outdoor grill. Because the nonstick coating is on the bottom of the pans as well as the sides and the interior, the pans will clean up after they’ve been over a sooty campfire or gas flame with just a wipe from a paper towel or damp cloth.

The cast aluminum makes a pan that’s much lighter than the typical cast iron pan and that heats quickly and evenly. “It’s convenient to carry and easy to maneuver when it’s full of food,” Stein said. “The color and the gloss we get from the high-temperature ceramic is very nice…. We have created a product line that looks as good as it cooks.”

The ceramic surface provides good browning as well as nonstick performance, so it’s particularly accommodating for those dishes that involve browning the protein and then finishing with a pan sauce made in the same skillet, according to Stein. “Flavors stay with the food, not the pan,” he says. “At the same time, ANYWARE browns foods beautifully. We’ve been having a lot of fun cooking dishes that used to be very challenging on the grill.”

The current line includes a classic 12-inch ceramic skillet, available in red and gray; a ceramic double-burner griddle, available in gray; and a ceramic backwall griddle that’s a shape that’s very familiar to Little Griddle’s existing customer base of outdoor enthusiasts. Each of the four items retails for about $60.

Over the next few years, Stein plans to expand the line into a full range for a wide variety of cooking styles. ANYWARE is available for shipment now.
