Trudeau Expands Bakeware Collection with Silicone Rolling Pins

Trudeau is continuing to expand its bakeware collection with an exclusive distribution agreement with Sil-pin™ the leader in non-stick silicone rolling pin technology. The partnership will bolster the company’s expanding product assortment launched in March 2015 at the International Home + Housewares Show.

With its seamless, non-stick design and patented sealed construction Sil-pin is recognized as the leader in the silicone rolling pin category. “When we started to look at the overall depth and scope of our bakeware product assortment we focused on Sil-pin technology to add to our rolling pin design. This partnership allows us to offer even more leading edge technologies in bakeware,” says Philippe Trudeau, President of the housewares company. Trudeau continues, “Our bakeware collection offers best in class product SKUs– each providing superior function and innovative design. Silicone technology has made many traditional baking products – especially rolling pins — obsolete and provided an area of opportunity and growth for us.”

TrudeauAccording to Yanick Bienvenue, Trudeau’s Director of Product Development‬, “Silicone continues to be the hottest commodity in bakeware,” noting the company’s groundbreaking use of reinforced flexible steel rims and patented silicone construction in its baking pans. “In rolling pin design, high quality, food-safe non-stick silicone with no outer seam solves the problem of tearing and over-flouring dough, making rolling and cleanup easier. Unique, patented sealed end caps ensure maximum hygiene (no food can get stuck). Each of our new rolling pins includes high precision molding for seamless silicone finishes on the drum.” The rolling pins also incorporate designs providing larger rolling surfaces and dough distribution and include the most advanced ergonomic designs with comfortable, easier rolling handles. Bienvenue continues, “We paid attention to the smallest of details.” Trudeau will roll out three new pins in January:

Standard Rolling Pin

The essential baking tool provides a 9 ½-inch non-stick rolling surface to effortlessly release dough without tearing and is super easy to clean. Side handles allows for consistent easy rolling. The suggested retail price is $24.99.

French Rolling Pin

Providing a 19-¾-inch rolling surface, this pin’s tapered shape adds pressure in the center, distributing dough evenly toward the edges facilitating the perfect round pastry. A seamless non-stick silicone surface easily releases dough without wear and tear. The French Rolling Pin is ideal for creating thicker dough, and rolling out pasta and pizza dough. The suggested retail price is $24.99.

Mini Rolling Pin

Smaller in size with just a 4-inch rolling surface, but just as mighty, the Mini Rolling Pin offers the same benefits of the other standard pins. Its silicone non-stick surface and smaller format makes it the go-to pin for rolling out fondant and gun paste, as well as ensuring cookies are flat before going into the oven. The suggested retail price is $11.99.

With 12 new SKUs slated for 2016, the Trudeau bakeware category offers 52 complementary baking products designed for gourmet, specialty and department stores.
