IHA Extends Invitation to Textile Suppliers to Attend The Inspired Home Show

The International Housewares Association (IHA) is inviting home textiles companies affected by the shifts in the New York market structure to visit its upcoming show next month.

The Inspired Home Show, previously known as the International Home + Housewares Show, is one of the largest trade shows in the home furnishings industry, featuring over 2,000 exhibitors and more than 51,000 attendees from over 130 countries, including the largest concentration of GMM-level retail executives of any home event in North America.

“In addition to the New York Textiles Market Weeks, many home textiles suppliers may be looking for a supplemental path to reach key retail buyers,” said Derek Miller, IHA President. “Our invitation to visit The Inspired Home Show is open to all textiles suppliers, not just those who have had showrooms in the 295 Fifth Avenue showroom building.”

The Inspired Home Show is being held at Chicago’s McCormick Place convention center from March 14 – 17, and the open house for home textile suppliers is scheduled for Sunday, March 15, though companies are encouraged to visit whichever day is most convenient.

“Leaders from the textiles industry will gather at The Inspired Home Show to experience the event firsthand and to speak with Show management and the IHA board of directors,” said Miller. “IHA’s chairman this year is Chip Steidle, who is Chief Executive Officer of textiles company John Ritzenthaler, makers of Ritz home textiles products.”

The show features a full range of home and housewares categories and is now expanding to all major home textiles classifications, including bed, bath, window, table and kitchen and rugs, Miller said.

Additional information about the show can be found on the Show’s website, TheInspiredHomeShow.com or IHA’s website Housewares.org.
