KNSD: Tell our readers about TeleBrands.

AK: I founded TeleBrands Corporation more than 32 years ago. We’re credited in leading the iconic pop culture industry by being the first to introduce “As Seen on TV” products to store shelves. The company continues to thrive with well-known products such as the PedEgg, Star Shower, Pocket Hose and Colormana, as well having successfully launched more than 200 hit products.

KNSD: TeleBrands has succeeded for 30-plus years. To what do you attribute that success?

AK: People are always looking for easy solutions to everyday problems. We pair that with affordable price-points, mass audience reach and that “wow” demonstration. This model hasn’t changed much in all of these years. Consumers are still looking to save time and money with easy to use products.
Our team of professionals is constantly searching for the next hit. Retailers count on TeleBrands to stock shelves with items that will resonate with shoppers, resulting in rapid sales and fast new-product turn around.

KNSD: TeleBrands had another banner year. How do you continue to find winners?

AK: We’re proud that 2015 brought us success with Star Shower, Colorama Coloring Books, PedEgg Power, Pocket Hose Top Brass and Laser Bond USA, among others. We are constantly on the lookout for new products in the categories of housewares and beauty.
We have built a network of entrepreneurs through trade show meetings and our Inventor Days events held throughout the country. Those with consumer products can apply by emailing BigIdeas@TeleBrands.com. We find some incredible products through at-home inventors.

KNSD: What products are you most excited about at this year’s show?

AK: 2016 will be huge. Our Star Shower with new technology provides thousands of laser stars to cover more than 600 square feet from one light source – no more ladder or stringing lights. People will love the PedEgg Powerball; the pivoting powerball conforms to the contours and curves of the foot, clearing away dry and cracked skin, while the built-in LED light reveals the smooth skin underneath. Following the success of Colorama, Magic Path Coloring Book is designed for adults and provides a therapeutic way to decompress and be creative. Individuals can choose from more than 100 unique designs printed on one-sided acid-free paper. For summer fun, Battle Balloons and Battle Balloon Color Combat fill and seal dozens of water balloons with or without color. The advanced spiral step technology with chroma mixing system fills 40 water balloons with water and non-staining color. Aqua-sealing technology ties them tight so they are ready to fly.

AK: We’re proud that 2015 brought us tremendous success with Star Shower, Pocket Hose Top Brass, PedEgg Power and Colorama Coloring Books. In 2016, we’re bringing new extensions of all these top performers, as well as everyone’s favorite, the PedEgg Power, with the introduction of the PedEgg Powerball.
