Déglon: Meeting and Génération Y Cutlery Collections

DEGLON 1_-_Meeting

Meeting Collection: Set of four stainless steel steak knives on a solid oak base

For Déglon, cutlery must combine technological prowess and beauty. This is particularly the case for the Meeting and Génération Y ranges.

Meeting is a collection designed by a creative design student, Mia Schmallenbach, in association with Déglon, for the fifth edition of the Creative Cutlery Scholarship. The streamlined and pared‐back shape of these knives gives the collection its contemporary edge and perfect ergonomic hold. The collection has four super‐flat knife sets that slot into one another. Choose from the three sets of three or four kitchen knives, or a set of four steak knives.

Génération Y Collection: Small kitchen / steak knife and 15cm kitchen knife

The Génération Y collection is born of Déglon’s expertise. Its brand new design resides in particular in its exceptional handle that has neither rivets nor screws. The two sides of the wooden handle are assembled using an exclusive system that guarantees solidity and robustness. For the best possible hold, the handle is in rosewood with a very pleasant touch and warming tone. The bolster has been reworked and has a half‐sphere on each side of the blade, for perfect balance and handling.

Since its creation in 1921 by Jean Déglon, the cutlery manufacturer has been making knives and kitchen utensils for professionals and the general public. Based in Thiers in Auvergne and currently managed by his grandson Thierry Déglon, the company generates over 20 percent of its revenue overseas.
