Capresso Promotes Iced Tea Maker with Sip & Save Social Media

A top-selling mainstay of the Capresso line, the Iced Tea Maker is trending because of its appealing promise to save consumers money while improving their quality of life.  Capresso has launched an online Iced Tea Sip & Save feature that shows how much people can save by conveniently brewing custom iced tea at home versus buying it ready-made or at a café.

Iced Tea Sip & Save is promoted at Capresso.com, the Capresso blog, and Capresso social media.  Capresso quantifies how much the average iced tea drinker – who enjoys an average of two servings a day – will save in a year by brewing at home with the Iced Tea Maker.  It adds up to well over $1,000 per year versus buying iced tea ready-made, and over $1,500 per year versus buying iced tea at a café.

“This is a classic win-win for the consumer.  You get the convenience of iced tea any time you want it, plus the ability to custom brew to taste and pre-brew into a beautiful glass pitcher that you can store in the fridge – plus you save money every day in the process.  And the Capresso Iced Tea Maker is filled with features that make it an ideal choice,” said David Shull, Executive Vice President, Marketing and Communications, for JURA Inc.

The Capresso Iced Tea Maker can custom brew a refreshing pitcher of iced tea at the touch of a button. It brews directly into a beautiful 80-ounce glass pitcher with removable lid and easy-pour spout.  Flavor enhancer adjusts brew strength from mild to strong taste.  Removable permanent filter accommodates loose tea or tea bags.

Fresh or frozen fruit can be added to the pitcher for delicious gourmet tea concoctions.  The Capresso blog and social media also offer easy-to-make recipes to inspire creativity and new taste experiences.

“This campaign is especially important to us because iced tea is no longer just a summer phenomenon.  Our Iced Tea Maker sells strong all year.  That expands our sales opportunity, and it adds value to the purchase decision for the consumer,” said Shull.

The Capresso Iced Tea Maker has an actual price of $59.99 and is available for immediate shipment.

AeroPress Delivers Cold Press Coffee in Minutes

AeroPress coffee maker inventor Alan Adler often gives talks about inventing. He always tells his audience to try things, even if they think they won’t work. His discovery that you can cold brew coffee using the AeroPress is the result of following his own advice.

Adler has always been interested in different water temperatures for brewing coffee. When he first got the idea to try making cold brew with the AeroPress, he expected that a long steep time would be essential to the process. After all, cold brewing coffee with room temperature water traditionally takes many hours. So he was astonished to discover that using a much shorter brewing time could produce very flavorful coffee.

Making one to three cups of cold brew coffee using the AeroPress is simple. Stir fine drip grind coffee and room temperature water together for one minute, press, add ice water to the concentrated brew, and enjoy. The extended stir time and fine drip grind enable the extraction of smooth, rich flavor in just two minutes, even when using unheated water.

The AeroPress has always been flexible, able to brew American style coffee or espresso style coffee for lattes or cappuccinos. But its newfound ability to make cold brew coffee means that Alan’s invention is even more versatile than he had thought. And the cold-brewing capability of the AeroPress makes it an essential brewer for those who don’t have access to hot water. Travelers, office workers, hikers, backpackers, bicyclists, sailors, and outdoorspeople of all kinds can brew smooth, rich coffee, hot or cold, anywhere they go — not just in their home kitchens.

The AeroPress coffee maker is made in the USA. For more information, call 1.650.493.3050 or visit aeropress.com.
