Mitchell Loring Retires from Meyer Corporation

Meyer Corporation, U.S. announces the retirement of Mitchell Loring as President, effective immediately.

“Mitchell’s valuable contributions to Meyer over his 30-year tenure with us were instrumental to our company’s evolution from a small company to one of the housewares industry’s leading cookware companies,” says Stanley Cheng. “It’s been a great honor and pleasure to work with Mitchell, and while he will be greatly missed, all of us at Meyer wish him much happiness in the next chapter of his life.”

In his long-spanning career with Meyer, which began with his appointment as Regional Manager, East Coast in 1988, Loring held numerous senior and managerial leadership positions. Prior to being promoted to President in 2013, Loring was Executive Vice President of Sourced Product. In previous years, he was also Vice President of Sales and National Sales Manager.

“I’m very fortunate to have had the opportunity to help grow a small company into a global powerhouse, and have immensely enjoyed being part of a talented team that has created world class products and brands,” says Loring. “Being able to work with great people who have turned into lifelong friends is one of the experiences I will cherish.”

Noted by Cheng for his decisive leadership style, vision for innovation, and skillful ability to navigate Meyer through a constantly evolving and fast-paced industry, Loring began his career in retail where he was a buyer at Abraham and Strauss, and cookware buyer at Bambergers/Macy’s East. Originally from New York, Loring resides in San Rafael, California with his wife Ellen.
