Kuhn Rikon Names Valeria Hiltenbrand Head of Design USA

Valeria Hiltenbrand, who has worked for the past five years as Industrial Designer for Kuhn Rikon AG in Rikon, Switzerland, has been promoted to Head of Design USA and is relocating to Kuhn Rikon USA headquarters in Novato, California. She will report to Chris Robason, Managing Director, Kuhn Rikon USA.

Award-winning contemporary design is a significant part of the Kuhn Rikon heritage, and the USA is the company’s most important market for kitchen tools.

Hiltenbrand has extensive experience in the development, design and production of Kuhn Rikon kitchen gadgets and cooking tools. Her previous experience includes product development and design for two different companies, where she developed soft goods for German-based Crumpler and protective equipment for Technology Engineering Center Asia, based in Switzerland.

Hiltenbrand brings a global perspective to her career. She has worked and trained in Switzerland, Vietnam, Brazil and Ecuador. She is fluent in English, German, Spanish and Portuguese.

After finishing college, Hiltenbrand studied industrial design at Zurich University of the Arts for four years.
