Joseph Joseph Wins 2015 Red Dot Design Award for the Twist Grater

Twist Grater Cheese grate boardJoseph Joseph, kitchenware designer and manufacturer, recently received the esteemed international Red Dot Design Award for outstanding product design and innovation for one of its newest food prep gadgets, the Twist Grater™. This is the company’s 11th Red Dot Award.

Joseph Joseph’s Twist Grater was selected as a winner from among 4,928 products entered by designers, manufacturers, and architects from 56 countries, earning the company the most coveted honor in the product design community. The Twist Grater, a two-in-one etched grater with an adjustable handle, won as a result of its ingenious design, which features two styles of etched stainless steel blades along with a flexible handle that allows consumers to grate food in different positions. It also comes with a reversible plastic sheath that protects blades when stored, and can be flipped and used to collect and measure grated food as well.

The Red Dot Award was created by one of the most highly reputed design institutions in Europe, Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen, and with thousands of entries each year the sought-after award is the revered international seal of outstanding design quality. This year, the Red Dot Award is celebrating its 60th anniversary, after its start in 1955 when a jury convened for the first time to assess the best designs of the day.
