IH+HS to Live Stream Smart Home Presentations at Show
Select events from the 2018 International Home + Housewares Show will be live streamed on the Internet, both to make the show’s celebrity chef presentations available to interested consumers and to give the show and the housewares industry in general a greater foothold in the emerging Smart Home market. The Show will be held March 10-13 at McCormick Place in Chicago.
All of the action from the Cooking Theater stage can be seen live during the show on the International Housewares Association’s consumer-facing portal at TheInspiredHome.com. The live-streaming event, which can be viewed at TheInspiredHome.com/cooking-theater-2018, will feature celebrity chefs and influencers including Rick Bayless, Ming Tsai, David Burke, Cat Cora, Bernard Guillas and Manuela Kjeilen cooking up some of their favorite dishes. Smart Talks, a new educational program making its debut within the IHA Smart Home Pavilion, will feature presentations by industry experts on developments in the Smart Home and Internet of Things. On Sunday, March 11, two keynote presentations will be live streamed on the IHA homepage at www.housewares.org: “The Housewares Consumer Speaks: Syncing Innovation and Marketing with Consumer Needs” at 7:30 a.m. Central Time, and “The Future Kitchen: Building Smart, New and Sustainable Business Model” at 12 Noon Central Time. The IHA Global Innovation Awards (gia) honor the industry’s best designed products and the world’s most innovative retailers at a special award gala on Saturday, March 10. The product awards will be live streamed at approximately 7:15 p.m. Central Time, and the retail awards will begin at approximately 8:45 p.m. Central Time.
